Organic Green Tea Polyphenols Catechins 30% and 15% EGCG
Our company Beyond Bioherbal is a manufacturer of Tea Polyphenols located in China. Green tea extract is a product extracted from green tea (Canellia Sinensis). Commercial green tea extract usually contains more than 60% of tea polyphenols.
The content of tea polyphenols in green tea is relatively high, accounting for 20%~30% of the dry weight of tea. Its main components are catechins, flavonoids and flavonols, anthocyanins, phenolic acids and depsid acids, and catechins The main flavanol compounds account for 60-80% of the total amount of tea polyphenols.
Tea polyphenols are off-white powdery solids or crystals, with astringent taste, easily soluble in water, ethanol, ethyl acetate, slightly soluble in fats, slightly moisture-absorbing, and can be oxidized to brown products in humid air.

Function and Application of Green Tea Extract with 30% Catechins and 15% EGCG
1. Antioxidant effect. Tea polyphenols can inhibit lipid peroxidation, chelate metal ions, and activate the antioxidant defense system in cells.
2. Sterilization and antibacterial, improve the structure of intestinal microbes. Tea catechin compounds have bactericidal and inhibitory effects on many harmful bacteria such as Staphylococcus aureus, Vibrio cholerae, Escherichia coli, etc.
3. Antiviral effects. Tea catechins have inhibitory effects on influenza viruses A and B; EGCG and ECG, even at low concentrations of 0.01 to 0.02 mg/ml, have a strong inhibitory effect on HIV.
4. Lipid-lowering weight loss, prevention and treatment of atherosclerosis. Tea catechins, especially EGCG, can inhibit the synthesis of cholesterol in cells, and have the effects of lowering LDL cholesterol in the blood and increasing HDL cholesterol.
5. Antihypertensive effect Tea catechins, especially ECG and EGCG, have a significant inhibitory effect on angiotensin converting enzyme.
