Green tea extract is the main extraction component of common green tea, rich in nutrients, rich in tea polyphenols, catechins, caffeine, amino acids, vitamins and other nutrients. It has a good antioxidant effect because it contains more hydroxyl groups.
Green tea extract contains a compound tea polyphenols that are much higher than other plants. Tea polyphenols is the general term for polyphenols in tea. The content of tea polyphenols in green tea is relatively high, accounting for 20% to 30% of the dry weight of tea leaves.
The main components of tea polyphenols are catechins, flavonoids and flavonols, anthocyanins, phenolic acids and depsid acids. Flavanols, mainly catechins, account for 60%- 80%.of the total amount of tea polyphenols.
