We use the selected Licorice root to produce our licorice extract powder. The production process of Trisodium glycyrrhizinate is to crush the licorice root, extract it with water, concentrate it into a dark brown viscous liquid, then refine the glycyrrhizic acid crystals with dilute ethanol, and add activated carbon for decolorization if necessary. Then it is converted into disodium salt to obtain the product disodium glycyrrhizinate.
Trisodium glycyrrhizinate is a white or light yellow powder with a very sweet taste and a special sweet aftertaste. Tisodium glycyrrhizinate also has a flavor-enhancing effect. It can be used as a flavor enhancer for edible spices and has a good effect on dairy products and cocoa products.
