The properties of lentinan
1. Chemical composition: Lentinan is a glucan with β-D(1→3) glucan residues as the main chain and (1→6) glucan residues on the side chain.
2. Properties: lentinan is off-white powder, mostly acidic polysaccharides, soluble in water, dilute alkali, especially soluble in hot water, insoluble in organic solvents such as ethanol, acetone, ethyl acetate, ether, and its aqueous solution is transparent and viscous shape.

1. The anti-tumor activity of lentinan
Lentinan is a typical T cell activator, which promotes the production of interleukins and also promotes the function of mononuclear macrophages. It is considered a special immune enhancer.

Dr. Ishida from Japan believes that shiitake mushrooms contain a double-stranded ribonucleic acid, which can stimulate human reticulocytes and white blood cells to release interferon, and interferon has an antiviral effect.
