Stevia Extract 90% Steviol Glycosides as Natural Sweetener Powder
We Beyond Bioherbal Co.,ltd.is a manufacturer of Stevia extract, we produce and supply various specification of stevia extracts including: Rebaudioside A from 60% to 98% by HPLC method, and Stevioside from 60% to 98%. Stevia is one of the main products of our company.
Stevia is a shrub native to South America and also grows in Japan and China. The leaves are harvested, dried, and then soaked in hot water. The resulting liquid is filtered and purified to separate sweet compounds called glycosides, the most common of which are stevioside and rebaudioside A (also known as reb A).
Stevia leaves have been used as a sweetener since the 16th century, but this extract has been approved as a food ingredient in the United States and Europe since 2008.

Function and Application of Stevia Extract 90% Steviol Glycoside
1. The main function of stevia extract is used as natural sweetener.
Stevia is a sweetener approved by the Ministry of Health of my country. Because of its natural low calorific value and very close to the taste of sucrose, it is the third natural sweetener with great development value and health functions after sugar cane and beet sugar. Known internationally as "the world's third sugar source. It is widely used in the foods, beverages, dietary supplements and many other products as a natural and healthy sweetener.
2. Stevia extract is natural and Zero Calorie
Stevia is 200 to 300 times sweeter than sugar, so you only need a small amount of stevia to sweeten food and drinks. It has a very low calorie content and can be called a "zero calorie" sweetener.
3. The antihypertensive and hypoglycemic functions of stevia
Stevia can assist in the treatment of hypertension and hyperglycemia, and its mechanism of action is similar to that of western medicine's calcium ion blocker. Patients with high blood pressure can brew stevia as a tea and serve as a health drink to help lower blood pressure.
4. Antibacterial and anti-inflammatory functions of stevia
Steviol diglycoside has the effect of anti-tuberculosis, and its hydrazide compounds have better curative effect than ordinary anti-tuberculosis drugs. Steviol glycosides can also be used as intermediates to be further derivatized into other substances with better physiological activities. For example, steviol glycosides containing quaternary ammonium salts have good antibacterial properties, and diploids of amino compounds of steviol glycosides can prevent Bacillus subtilis. The growth ability is better than penicillin. Sweet tea glycosides are isomers of steviol diglycoside, which have anti-fatigue and immune enhancement effects. Steviol is an aglycon molecule of steviol glycoside compounds, which has antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, anti-tumor and other physiological activities.
History of use for Stevia extract:
Steviol glycosides are very stable and will not decompose when cooking and baking up to 200°C. It does not accumulate in the body, and is suitable for patients with obesity, diabetes, hypertension, arteriosclerosis, and dental caries. Patients with phenylketonuria (PKU) can also eat with confidence, so it is safe.
China has long used steviol glycosides as food additives. The "National Standard GB8270 Food Additives Steviol glycosides" and the "GB2760 Food Additives Hygiene Standards" have specified them in detail. Stevia can be consumed by healthy people, diabetics and hypertension patients.
Acute, subacute and chronic accumulation tests and pharmacological experiments at home and abroad have proved that steviol glycosides have no toxic side effects.
According to the research on the safety and toxicity of stevioside, my country stipulates that stevia can be used in foods and beverages according to the required amount and become a sweetener with the same safety level as sucrose.
In 2009, the US FDA considered steviol glycosides to be safe. In September 2009, the French authorities approved RA (97%) as a food additive. In January 2010, it was also authorized as a table sweetener. On April 1, 2010, the European Food Safety Agency announced its positive opinions on steviol glycosides and RA.
